CommCentric Solutions was founded in May 2006 by Chuck Miller and Lynette Bohanan, whose credentials include:

Before forming CommCentric, Miller and Bohanan served as director and manager, respectively, of corporate communications at Tech Data, a $20 billion global distributor of computer products. That partnership evolved during the course of a decade, in a multitude of areas, ranging from producing communications associated with corporate earnings, including annual reports and quarterly analyst conference call scripts; establishing and building media relationships on local, state, national and international levels; preparing press releases, fact sheets, executive speeches and presentations; managing brand identity; overseeing worldwide employee communications; and executing $75 million in annual channel marketing programs and activities. The staff of 12 included copywriters, graphic designers, and communications specialists.

   

Chuck Miller

With more than 20 years' experience in marketing, public relations and journalism, Chuck oversees CommCentric’s marketing, brand management and overall creative for the firm’s client base. Prior to establishing the agency and his experience with Tech

Data, Chuck led marketing communications for Plant City, Florida-based Crystals International, Inc., a major producer of freeze-dried juices and related products sold throughout the world. His responsibilities there included branding, press communications and advertising programs to reach diverse audiences ranging from large restaurant chains to international producers of consumer food products.

Chuck’s marketing communications and PR expertise was honed early in his career with a CompuServe Software Products Division subsidiary when the Internet pioneer experienced meteoric growth. He handled advertising campaigns, media relations and employee communications for the company, Tampa-based Collier-Jackson, Inc. (later GEAC), which published integrated business management software for accounting, human resources and other corporate requirements.

A graduate of the University of South Carolina’s School of Journalism, Chuck initially wrote feature articles for a variety of major newspapers -- including the St. Pete Times and South Carolina’s largest, The State -- as well as numerous national magazines, before entering the corporate communications profession in 1987.


   

Lynette Bohanan

Lynette brings nearly two decades of strategic communications counseling experience to CommCentric’s clientele. Before joining Tech Data in 1995, she was a principal of The Public Relations Consulting Group Inc. (PRCG), a regional public

relations and marketing firm based in the Tampa Bay area. In this capacity, Lynette organized and implemented media relations campaigns for the agency’s client base. Her ability to clearly, concisely and effectively communicate key messages to targeted audiences produced solid media scores in both print and broadcast outlets, winning satisfied clients – and awards – for her work.

Prior to establishing her practice, Lynette worked with one of Tampa Bay’s largest public relations firms as an account executive, developing and implementing marketing strategies, producing collateral materials, organizing special events and generating media coverage for her clients.

Lynette’s other notable accomplishments include her work as a correspondent for the St. Petersburg Times and as a promotions assistant for WFTS-TV, Channel 28. This range of experience gives her a full appreciation for the scope of media relations requirements from both the journalist’s and communications specialist’s perspective.

A life-long native of the Tampa Bay area, Lynette is a graduate of the University of South Florida, earning a B.A. degree in mass communications, with an emphasis in public relations. Bohanan is an active member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and has held numerous leadership positions within the Tampa Bay Chapter, including serving as chapter president.
